At Just 24 Years Old, Jefferson Has Accomplished What Many Legends Never Did
Since entering the NFL in 2020, Justin Jefferson has done nothing but dominate. Taken 22nd overall by the Minnesota Vikings, he shattered rookie records with 1,400 receiving yards—then topped that in each of the next two seasons. By the end of 2022, Jefferson had amassed 4,825 yards, breaking the all-time record for receiving yards in a player’s first three seasons, a mark once held by Odell Beckham Jr. He’s been named to the Pro Bowl every year, earned First-Team All-Pro honors, and in 2022, he led the NFL with 128 receptions and 1,809 yards, earning him the NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Analysts have already begun whispering about Canton—and with good reason. At his current pace, Jefferson is tracking to obliterate career yardage totals if he stays healthy. He’s drawn comparisons to Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, and Julio Jones—and has arguably had a better start than any of them.
The scary part? He’s still under 25. If he retired today, his first few seasons would be talked about for decades. But he’s nowhere near done.
